Our Services
Family Dentistry
Our goal is to provide a comforting dental care environment for patients of all ages. One of the many benefits of our family dentistry services is that we allow our pediatric patients to be treated alongside their other family members. We encourage parents and caregivers to follow the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s recommendations to schedule their child’s first dental visit around their first birthday.
Preventative Care
Routine dental checkups and cleanings are vital to good oral hygiene and are the best way to detect problems at their earliest stages, which saves unnecessary discomfort, time, and money
Dental Filling
It is common for most people to receive a dental filling at some point in their lifetime. Whether you’ve experienced some natural decay or damage to a tooth, fillings are used to restore your compromised tooth to its normal function.
Crowns
Common reasons for a dental crown include:
- Restoring a fractured tooth
- Protecting a weak tooth from fracturing
- Replacing a large filling that is failing
- Covering a dental implant
- Protecting a tooth after root canal treatment
- Cosmetic reasons such as discolored or poorly-shaped teeth
Once the need for a crown has been identified by our doctors, a small amount of your tooth structure is removed to make space for the new crown to fit over your tooth in a secure but comfortable manner.
Bridges
If you are missing a tooth, the large gap that’s left behind can create other significant problems for your dental health if it’s not corrected. Once our team has determined a bridge is the proper treatment option for your missing tooth, the surrounding teeth are prepared for crowns. A prosthetic tooth is fused in between the crowns, creating a “bridge” where the gap used to be.
Restoration of Dental Implants
Dental implants are used for replacing the root portion of a missing tooth. Implants can then be used as an anchor to replace missing teeth and secure crowns, dentures or bridges. Some of the major benefits of dental implants include:
- promoting bone retention
- eliminating the need for removable dentures
- don’t affect your adjacent teeth like bridges
- they can look, feel and function just like a natural tooth
Oral Surgery
Anytime a tooth develops severe decay, suffers trauma, or develops a serious infection, the tooth can be damaged beyond repair, and unfortunately extraction becomes the best or only option. We also assist in the evaluation of whether wisdom tooth removal is recommended.
Endontics
When one of your tooth nerves gets inflamed or infected due to tooth decay, previous restorations, or trauma, then root canal therapy often becomes a necessary option for repairing the damage. If not treated, you may experience severe pain or develop an abscess.
Periodontal Disease
Periodontal disease is an inflammatory response in the gum tissue in reaction to the bacteria present in the mouth. This bacteria damages the supporting gum tissue and bone that surround the teeth. Signs of periodontal disease are red, inflamed, and bleeding gums, along with gum recession and bone loss. Once supporting structures are lost around the teeth, our body does not replace them, making it really important to diagnose it at an early stage. Periodontal disease also has an impact on overall health, playing a role in both diabetes and cardiac health, among others.
Invisalign
Orthodontic therapy goes way beyond just having a “pretty smile”. Crooked teeth can also contribute to several other dental health concerns that have a tendency to be more problematic as we get older. Ask for an evaluation for whether you are a good candidate for Invisalign, clear trays that can straighten your teeth. Not only will it boost your confidence, it will create a healthier mouth.
Teeth Whitening
Gain confidence from having a bright, beautiful smile with a little help from our office. Our team will take the impressions that used to provide you with custom trays to use at home. These trays will disperse the prescription whitening gel evenly around the teeth to minimize any irritation to your gums.
